Portfolio
The Improlity Project enables top level management to oversee and steer project management programs and project portfolios. Decisions are based on online status, progress and milestone information as well as comprehensive reports and dashboards. Centralising all project work and activities into one easy-to-use platform increases users’ productivity. Portfolio managers can review status reports given by project managers and track the status gates and milestones to ensure project deliverables’ value is on target.
Portfolio view summarises online status of each project in comprehensive and versatile form. All information that is presented in this view is tailored from a large amount of possibilities. The content can be filtered and sorted in numerous ways and it can utilise different security groups to determine visibility for different users. Wide range of different key performance indicators can be included also.

Individual Project
Resource load –view can be used to show the resource load of project organisation. When an individual or competency is chosen to be responsible for a task then the load can be determined. User is able to choose teams, individuals and competencies and track their load. User can also visualise and plan future tasks from draft projects and easily jump to the desired phase or task to adjust it.
User can also visualise the resource load change if draft projects are started as planned. Based on this information user can then adjust the resource assignements to setup a more realistic plan for the project.

We developed a portfolio management system for our product development projects that was based on Improlity’s project management platform. The system is now globally used in all our product development units, and has made project monitoring and reporting simpler and more efficient. It also enables more versatile and – more importantly – real-time reporting throughout the Group.
Tailoring Improlity’s platform to our needs succeeded easily. Improlity operated flexibly and in full cooperation with our project team.
Metso IT | Teppo Ojala Project Manager
Metso IT is an internal service department for Metso Group, providing centralised (typically global) ICT services for all business areas.
Our goal was to improve our ICT Project Portfolio management and to clarify transparency of projects across geographical borders. Processes and decision making has been standardised using Improlity's solution. During the process of improving and enhancing our processes we have also been able to provide input and improvements to Improlity's solution.
We strive to continuous improvement in Project Management and for now our requirements have been easily met with only small adjustments of the solution.

KuntaIT (the Local Government IT Management unit) is part of Finland´s Ministry of Finance. KuntaIT’s main duty is support the Finish municipal sector, improving the productivity of the municipalities service production, developing customer based and cross-organisational service processes and planning and implementing the Project to restructure municipalities and services. The KuntaIT projects are made in cooperation with the municipalities. To manage the implementation of KuntaIT’s development projects, KuntaIT utilizes a project management method and office created for it’s own use. Toolkit for the management of KuntaIT’s project portfolio is Improlitys Project Router. Project Router helps KuntaIT project management and it provide brilliant tool to ensure that the projects proceed on schedule and that they reach their objectives. “We are very pleased for how Project Router supports our needs. Project Router is really easy to use and it provides extremely good support and platform for our cooperation with municipalities”, concludes Tommi Oikarinen of KuntaIT unit.
